Re: MT13K

I believe this is a copy of the Martin D37 K. The K stood for Koa wood construction. The MT series for El Degas back in the 60/70 (mostly MIJ) when I dealt with B&J tended to go up in price as the numbers went higher. So the MT1 was the low end and MT19 was the highest.

Re: El Degas 995WR

Sorry for not being around for a while Charles....so many things have happened over the last little while. BTW I noticed the pic of my guitar doesn't show in my post any more. Have there been changes to the format?

Re: El Degas 995WR

A strange update on my 995WR. I just got a FaceBook message from a guy saying he's the guy that bought it from me and still has it...what? It's still around? He says he lives in Guelph and says the next time he comes out to Brampton he'll bring it with him. I hope to get more pics with it when he ...

Re: Guitar straps and end pin jacks

Before I made them I searched the internet for "end pin jack adapter" guitar adapter straps" etc. and found nothing so I started looking for materials and tools to make these. The original idea was to use a jean jacket stud but it fastens on permanently and the head was a little to big (.75) to go ...

Guitar straps and end pin jacks

Anyone else have trouble getting your strap on the electric end pin jack on your acoustic/electric guitars? I have asked music stores and strap manufacturers if there is a strap that is made to fit these enlarged end pin jacks and the best answer I have gotten is shrugged shoulders and "Yeah it's ...

Just wrote a new parody "50 Ways To Kill Al-Qaida" but I'll have to wait to youtube it since the computer I use for that just died and I haven't figured out how to record it on this lap top yet!

Re: El Degas Plywood (Mahogany Finish) Baritone Uke (EU-55)

There is one guy I know that would likely know more about it. I paid a visit to Kaman Music (also known as B&J Music back in the day) and saw that Tony still works there. Back in the 60's and 70's I had a music store and I dealt with B&J and bought lots of El Degas from them when there were on King ...

I Shot Bin Laden

It's been a while since I posted but I'm still playing my 1965(?) MT 19. Here's a parody I wrote a couple weeks ago. Look out! The bass was a little hot during the recording so adjust the volume. Hope you like it.

Re: El Degas 995 ts

I'm still waiting for the pics of the 995 TS. I had a 995 WR (wine Red) That I posted considerably earlier and curious to see if it is the same except for the colour of course. I'm guessing it an archtop with F holes and 2 pick-ups?

Re: My El Degas MT19 in action! Marry Christmas!

Christmas was good but Maureen and I will be glad to see 2010 go! I had my stroke in January and was laid up til April. In May Maureen woke up with double vision and a migraine and can't drive or work until the vision improves. At this moment it is not any better. Her car battery died 2 weeks ago ...
