Fret City and J&D Guitars

Post by mikedem »

Anyone dealt with them?
Really nice looking gear. I have been doing some reasearch on them and they are built by the Yeou Chern co. which aparently makes guitars for IBANEZ, EHIPHINE, DEAN, ARIA, GIBSON,FENDER.
They are also the same manufacturer as the SX, Douglas and Agile guitars from Rondo and although I can't confirm, looks like the same manufacturer of some of the Xaviere guitars.
I email them 10 minutes ago and got an instant response from Rob , the company owner of Fret City. He hinted in the Agile forums that his JM (jazzmaster) replica has been pulled from him becuase a large US company has signed a exclusive deal to sell them (GFS Offset series)

Anyways , take a look at their stuff. Cheap shipping and they are based in Richmond Hill , so you keep your $$$ in Canada.

Cool, I like that Jazzmaster copy.
I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.

El Degas stable as of 03/2022: 42  (13 bass, 26 electric, 3 acoustic)

Nah, I'm an El Degas man... for better or worse!

Another good Canadian online retailer is JSD Guitar Shack http://www.jsdguitarshack.com/
They handle some Dillion and Roxbury models that are possibly made in the same place (although I cannot confirm and am just speculating)
