Glad that worked out for you.

Never heard of the Joodee brand - but I like saying it
I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.

El Degas stable as of 03/2022: 42  (13 bass, 26 electric, 3 acoustic)

SCORE! Alright, good to hear she's back to playing condition! :)
And hey, we would still like to see some pix of her!
That's our only reward here ya know?

As for the Yamaki, you had better give your uncle a big BIG hug! Yamaki was one of the leading Japanese instrument makers of the 70's and 80's. Their quality and workmanship was impeccable, some say even bordering on relentless perfection. Their guitars are highly regarded by many collectors, particularly some of their electric solid bodies. In fact, one of the boys on another forum I'm involved with just got a Daion (Yamaki made) which is just an amazing piece of design; more sculpture than typical guitar design: http://www.matsumoku.org/ggboard/viewto ... =36&t=6054

But like El Degas, they often don't get their fair share of praise and appreciation. In fact, they may have even made some of the ED models.
So hang on to it whatever you do!!! Here's a current link to a Japanese sale site featuring a YW40M (I assume the M stands for Martin). This one is being offered for 33,600 Yen or about CAD$385. It's a beauty!

Of course we need pix of your Yamaki too!
