I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.

Okay so for the basses and I need to hunt you down for the rickenbacker, the SG Bass and that cool one that kind of looks like a vintage Kramer I think. Is that what to classic dark natural wood finish one is? (not the viola copy lol)

I'll try to post expanded threads for each of my El Degas instruments as time goes on - but I'm tied up right now.

I had a kitchen flood, so my weekend is dedicated to redoing my kitchen flooring  (for those of you who have seen the CLR commercial where they pour some into an empty dishwasher and it comes out sparkling clean and like new, I say BOLLOCKS - it can also react with soap residue and cause your dishwasher to suds over and destroy your kitchen flooring  )

I think you're referring to the one with the half-moon inlays?? That's a copy of either an Ibanez Artist series or perhaps an Alembic - the jury's still out on what exactly those are modeled on, but they are great. 8)

I just droped off my bass at the local shop to get the pickups installed and the owner had never heard of the brand but he gave me A LOT of info are a similar company that used the same rare techniques that are in this p bass at the same time so they are probably connected, I'll get back to you when I write it down after I pick it up later this weekend.

I'd say that a lot of instruments from the 70s MIJ era were somewhat connected because it was really a handful of Japanese factories manufacturing the instruments for a whole slew of brand names.

The info will be interesting to read, thanks!

I'm going to lock this topic for now until I can update my pics.
