Hi,
I just bought a E-1 Degas MT-1 (or 7, but I think 1) guitar for $42 at a garage sale. I've never heard about these guitars before, but with a lot of researching, the degas guitars seem to have been made as copies of famous guitars. I cannot find anything on this particular model, does anyone know which guitar it was suppose to be a copy of? Also, what is the estimated value of it, and what is the quality? I am new to guitars (just beginning lessons), so any help would be greatly appreciated! (I've attached a photo)

Re: E-1 Degas MT-1 series
Looks like you did alright - personally I'd value the guitar at $50-100 depending on condition.
Generally the MT- models are copies of Martin acoustics but there are exceptions. Unfortunately I really do not know enough about Martins to tell you if that is a copy of a Martin model or not.

I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.
