I decided to do some research on my guitar and can't find anything on it. Is El Degas the same as Degas? I will post some pictures shortly when I have access to a digital camera Friday
just wanting to know a little something about this Guitar.
If anyone has any comments before I post pics that would be sweet
I've seen a few mentions of "degas" guitars on the internet but never with a photo to accompany it. I should be able to tell you if the Degas is related to an El Degas once I see the guitar & logo.
I usually just assumed people had somehow missed the "El" or by some chance it was scratched off the guitar.
I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.
El Degas stable as of 03/2022: 42 (13 bass, 26 electric, 3 acoustic)
That's a classical guitar by El Degas. Probably MIJ (Made in Japan), but I cannot say 100%.
Make sure when it is restrung that you use classical nylon strings.

Hello I have been reading some stuff, these brand of guitars are replicas of other brand names but actually sound really nice. Any idea what brand of guitar mine could be replicating. Sorry I am a beginner I only started learning to play a few months ago.
When it comes to the classicals, I do not know that they are replicating any actual brand out there, or are just making a generic classical guitar design.
