Looking for a bolt on neck

Hi guys, Zee here again...I just found another El Degas, LP copy with PAF pick ups. nice guitar but the nut and neck is in rough shape...any one out there know where I can find a neck??
Its a 4 bolt pattern, black with the older, "painted on" logo...

Oh man, good luck with your search!
I was searching for weeks for a neck to match a really nice LP body that was being offered for sale on Kijiji not long ago.
I had no leads at all---couldn't even find a new LP neck! You can read the sorry details in one of my posts.
Lots of Fender style necks out there, nuthin' for Gibson style that I could find.
But if you are successful in locating a source please let us know.

It's always best to work with the original parts if possible, helps maintain authenticity and value.
It's amazing what you can do to restore even hopeless looking projects, but you haven't told us exactly what the problem is. Is it cosmetic or something more structural? Dings, scratches, abrasions and refinishing are all fairly straight forward repairs, even replacing the logo is possible. Something like a cracked headstock or neck is more serious and intensive but even that can be a routine repair. Remember, the adhesive used to make the repair is stronger than the wood you're repairing, so you won't end up with an inferior product!

In any event, just take your time and do your research before committing to a course of action. And you can always throw a question out to the folks here to see if anyone has expertise in a particular area.

You might have some luck finding another El Degas sometime in the future that you can mine a neck from.

Might be worth contacting sites like Allparts, Warmoth, etc to see if their necks might fit the neck pocket & hole configuration you will need - I bet the neck will cost more than the guitar you're buying it for, though

AllParts have a Mahogany 24.75" scale bolt on neck that fit my old ElDegas. It's a paddle but it's really nice.

I'm setting up my shop to cut the original style headstocks if anyone is interested.

Well that's some encouragement at least.
But you're in for $200 and the headstock still needs not only finishing but cutting and drilling as well, not an easy job for most folks.
Plus machine heads of course.
So, yep, as Charles says, this little bugger will cost about as much as a complete guitar.

Yeah, it almost makes more sense to pick up a used Epiphone Les Paul or something and start working with that as the base to add better pickups and electronics
