deos anyone know what type of guitar this is?
it has no serial numbers of any kind and a bolt on neck
i was told by someone years ago that it was an el degas but it lacks the logo on the headstock and has subtle differences in the body when comparing it to other el degas guitars of similar make. it is a beautifil guitar to play better than guitars that friends of mine has spent +$600 on while i got mine for $175 .
on the original pickups was a strange logo of a butterfly/hand thing but i am unsure if that was the original pickup.
What is this guitar?
Re: What is this guitar?
Not an El Degas, but may have been made in one of the same factories in which El Degas were later built...
Looks like a very early MIJ Les Paul copy, back when they rounded the end of the neck (note the last fret where it meets the body) and did not have the hardware very accurate yet

I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.
