$$ value?
$$ value?
Hey everyone, I'm new to this site, looking for some info. I have a 12 string acoustic Model MT5 made in Korea and a 5 string banjo with no info. El Degas of course. Both of them are about 25 or better years old. The banjo is like new. rarely played, and the 12 string is also like new. Nice sounding instruments. I'm selling them. I want to buy a Fender Telly. Anyone know what kind of price I should ask?
Re: $$ value?
MT- 12 strings seem to usually get listed on the internet for around $150. I'd say you could expect anywhere between $100-250 depending on condition and motivation of the buyer. FYI, some buyers also value the MIK (Korean) models a bit lower than MIJ (Japanese), so that might come into play.
Banjos seem to be in the $50-200 range but the listings I have seen seem to vary wildly in price and quality...
In my opinion the demand for both the 12-string and banjo will be a bit lower than 'traditional' favs like 6-string acoustic and electric guitars. Just the nature of the average guitar buyer, your mileage may vary!
Best of luck.

I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.
