Found this one in the pawn shop I haunt...$60.
Gold hardware, bottom patch cord connection, 1 volume, 1 tone, Pup selector .
A few dents and scrapes but nothing serious. I know it's MIK, but different to other Strat copies I've seen.

Doesn't sound too bad, but a few buzzes from the volume /tones controls will need attending to.

Nice, 80s MIK
I like that the body appears to be mahogany, and not a form of MDF like some of the 80's MIK's were.
Good score!

I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.

Re: New (old) aquisition!
Nice guitar! It's 80's for sure, the pointed headstock says as much, but I'm not sure when in the 80's it was made but it's looks to be really well done. It looks very much like the style of guitar coming out of late 80's. Post-Matsumoku's Westone line had a similar design in the "Villain" which was made in Korea by St. Louis Music.

Re: New (old) aquisition!
I've just come across another ED that looks all the world for a Westone Challenger in every way. That would be circa 1989?

Re: New (old) aquisition!
I didn't think the El Degas brand lived as long as 1989, but I could be mistaken...
