El Degas CL 141

Post by mfikpw »

I recently acquired an El Degas acoustic guitar which has a notice in the center of the sound hole that says it was made in Romania and is a model cl 141. It is an attractive guitar with what looks like silver plated externally attached pearly machine tighteners. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this particular model as I have been unable to find anything about it on the internet. Has a nice sound and is in excellent shape just would like to know a little more about it and have seen a lot of good information on El Degas guitars on this site. Thanks

The CL- series are classical guitars.

Yours would be a late-model El Degas once production moved out of Japan and to countries such as Korea, Romania, etc.
I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.

El Degas stable as of 03/2022: 42  (13 bass, 26 electric, 3 acoustic)
