It's a P-bass (Precision_ copy with a different pickup than normal. I don't know whether that's stock or whether someone put a new pickup & pickguard on it. Only way to tell is to pop off the pickguard and look.
Alternatively, that might be sort of a pseudo - '51 Precision copy.
(with the single-pickup and all)
If it plays well, that's def. $80 well spent, in my opinion.

I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.

That's a nice looking bass!
The Pup is odd but that can easily be changed if you don't like it. I do like the tortoise shell pick guard though!
For $80 it looks like a steal to me.

Yeah this is P bass, it's looking awesome but Frenchy your bass is also nice.
