This one?
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Vintage-El-Degas ... 4ab4f07fe2

Thats' an 80's MIK copy of a Jackson Soloist.

I've always kind of wanted one of these models, but $399 is a bit more than I'd spend on one.
I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.

El Degas stable as of 03/2022: 42  (13 bass, 26 electric, 3 acoustic)

To be honest, the thought of fiddling with the floyd rose kind of scares the hell out of me

All trem bridges are a pain to adjust. The FR's may be more predictable and straight forward than most however.
IMHO the two most stable current trems are those found on the Music Man (unbelievable) and the good old Bigsby. Both are solid and reliable.

Yes, it says the nut might need work. Guitars that use trem bridges like a Floyd Rose (this one is likely a Korean copy of a FR) have to use a locking nut, hard to say what might be wrong with the nut on this guitar. :?:

Hard to tell from these pix if the nut is in need of replacement, but there is definitely something going on with the locking screws. Two are replacements, and the plates look wrong (undersized) too.

Probably easiest just to replace the whole locking nut, I'd assume.
