El Degas Dove
Just picked up this Dove for $150.00 looking for info on the date and location of manufacture
Re: El Degas Dove
Hi, looks like you've got an early to mid-70's MIJ (Made in Japan) model.
Good score! Enjoy it.

Might have also been used concurrently and applied to different "levels" of models (the inlaid logo seems to be on the most "deluxe" models with best fit & finish).

Re: El Degas Dove
Damn I love that Dove.
Mine is the "lower rung" MIK model but it does its job... until I sell it.
I keep getting low-ball offers on it but then I go give it a good strum and remind myself it's good enough to not have to take bottom-dollar.

Hey Barry very nice guitar i noticed some difference's on yours compared to mine ie- my bridge and the back of the headstock carve is different on yours and mine doesent have the heel cap or the backstrip like yours interesting to see how they were making each version a lil different

Hi dubwise, I merged your extra photos thread into this one to keep them from getting separated. She's a looker!

Yeah, strange how they kept messing with the specs on this and other "standard" models. Not sure why. It may have been cost considerations or something more basic like available parts at the time of manufacturing, or whatever the distributor was willing to pay.
