BTW: El Degas SG in a local pawn shop

By the way, as I've been researching my newly acquired LP copy, I'm reminded that there's a El Degas SG copy (with the classic headstock logo) that's been sitting in a local pawn shop for some time. To be honest, until now I've passed it over as a cheap copy not worth my time (I own a U.S. Gibson SG Special). However, my education about El Degas and all things classic MIJ have got me thinking I should go take another look.

So, before I do: What should I look for as more/ less desirable features in this guitar (body type, set/ bolt on neck, tuners, electronics, etc)?
What might be a reasonable price for, say, a 70s or early 80s El Degas SG in reasonable condition (normal wear and tear but decent and playable), as this one appears to be? This pawn shop is known to haggle but also bad for way overcharging on their ticket prices. At what price should I just walk away if they won't negotiate?

You will likely find that it's a bolt-on. From what I have seen, there never was a MIJ set-neck SG copy from El Degas. My set-neck El Degas '61-SG copy is a MIK.

I would personally value the MIJ bolt-ons at around $150-250 depending on condition but your mileage may vary. For what it's worth, they are nice guitars but I never really bonded with my bolt on SG copies. Had two of them, sold them both back around 2008. However, they were fine.
