SOLD! El Degas Les Paul Custom copy

Post by charles »

El Degas
Les Paul Custom
Black

1970's
Made in Japan
Fully bound body, neck, headstock
Bolt-on neck
replaced pickups with GFS Vintage '59 pickups

El Degas was a brand of guitars made in Japan and then later in Korea for Beugeleisen & Jacobsen in New York, NY for sale in Canada (later sold to Kaman Music). I have other El Degas guitars for sale - I have many El Degas guitars and have been looking at their history for some time. http://www.eldegas.com/forum

SOLD!

I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.

El Degas stable as of 03/2022: 42  (13 bass, 26 electric, 3 acoustic)

El Degas guitars were made in several different factories throughout the 70's; add the fact that there is no serial numbering, and that equals nothing better than an educated guess on these. Specific dates of manufacture and other details are assumed at best. :|

well, I actually have 2 El Degas Les Pauls! the black one that looks like this one, is almost as heavy as my real Les Paul. The second one, it's cherry red, has "Made In Japan" on it and is a lot lighter!

You should start a thread in the Showcase forum and post some photos!
