Hello.

I've been looking at this site for a little while now, and I noticed something very strange about the acoustics I have seen so far.All that I have seen have a Model no and a seial no, even if it's not filled in, but mine only has a Model no, f-308, and does not even say serial no on the inside. Well, here's some pics

That's a beauty - copy of a Gibson J-200 Super Jumbo. One of the few Acoustic models I GAS for.

Not sure why the serial number area is omitted altogether from the sound hole label - perhaps the manufacturer decided on that run of labels to not even fool themselves that they might put some sort of serial number on it.

I thought the Letter on the model number was supposed to relate to the name?

I would have thought, if it were a gibson copy, that they would have made it G-??? or something like that. Why did they call it a f-308

Looks like a screw-up to me. Should be a model GB-##. F-models are nothing like that.

I am 100% certain it is a copy of a Gibson J-series Super Jumbo.

Frankly, El Degas is not known for its meticulous attention to detail and record keeping when it comes to model and serial numbering. I wouldn't sweat it. The real question is: how does it PLAY?

Oh, it plays beautifully. Deep, rich tone.

Btw, you said you GAS for it?

What does that mean, lol.

GAS (noun): Guitar Acquisition Syndrome

GAS (verb): I want it I want I want it!

Hard to say - I've seen that logo style on both MIJ & MIK acoustic models.
From my experience, the sound hole label normally says if it is MIK; but the fact that it does not say Korea does not mean it's from Japan...

So... short answer: Nope, can't tell you, sorry.
