Nice lookin' guitar.

That's a copy of a Guild. I've been told that at GL36, specifically, is a copy of a Guild D-55.

Hi geordie and welcome.
Wow! You picked a beauty for your first guitar! And it has obviously held its value well too.
I think you'll find that the reason for that is, first, because of the quality craftsmanship, and second, the wood used. The back and sides appear to be made of Jacaronda, a variety of Brazilian rosewood, which is relatively expensive these days, if you can find it in good quality at all. The sound board is likely a top quality spruce.

Just beautiful! Congratulations and enjoy her! :D

It's almost a cruel irony that even the lower-caste copies of days gone by have the kind of wood in them that today is next to impossible to find in anything but the finest instruments. Is that this "mojo" I keep hearing about?
