That would be a rare one alright. I've seen a few SG guitars but no basses.

I see them occasionally, usually on ebay.

Keep checking, best of luck.

Yup, that's what I'm looking for. How's the tone? Fat and Snarly?

Lots of options between the two pickups. There's also a manual string damper you can engage in the bridge. So, you can go from a muted thump all the way to a unleashed snarling dog with a couple of flicks of the wrist.

I'll try to remember to take some more photos and post more info tomorrow.

I forgot my neck pickup in that bass is dead... so that puts a damper on the sound impressions!

The tone I am able to get out of it is decidedly less snarly as a result. The bass uses a three-position varitone switch which is a bit different than just moving a three-way toggle to go from pickup-to-pickup.

The bridge damper is a weird contraption and its usefulness (in my case) depends on the amount of gain you have on the amp. When played clean, the bass sounds really weak and muted with the damper (which is part of the point, but the way it affects the actual sound output is jarring and drastic), but with a high-gain/distorted/overdriven amp it actually works wonderfully in making the bass snarling but very 'punchy'.
