Neck radius?-strat and LP

Hi all,

I have a Les Paul that I bought new in the early 70s and a Strat that I bought a few months ago. It just now occurred to me to wonder if El Degas used the same neck radius of the guitars they were copying.
And as I write that just now, it also suddenly occurs to me to ask the experts here: what year's models were they copying for the LPs and Strats. I have pictures of both my guitars on here under my user name if you need to look at them to tell, if they copied multiple years.

Very happy with them both.

Don

Good question, but one I don't think I can answer... I've never compared the neck radius of the copy to an original. Frankly, I'd be surprised if the guitars are bang-on to what they were copying. I don't think they ever really went for a 1 to 1 copy and the metric vs. imperial difference alone probably will allow some variance from the original. I'd imagine they are pretty close, but may vary.

Not sure if the ED copies are copying certain years' models or just general models; some of the headstock treatments on the Strats (labelling and/or truss rod) seem to emulate certain models that could be attributed to a certain year/era?
