Charles, did I read here somewhere that these might have come with DiMarzio Super Distortions?!

Total over kill if so. I'd use them in something else and drop in some less aggressive PAF style 'buckers, or even my favourites, P90's!

I wouldn't mind getting it but "no dough", and the Tax Man cometh...

This one looks to just have PAF-style humbuckers. Totally suited to this style of guitar. I have however seen Super Distortions on some ES copies in my time and they are, indeed, way over-kill.

I agree that humbucker-sized P90's would be great in this style of guitar!

I would LOVE to get my hands on any El Degas ES style guitar. A sunburst in tobacco or cherry would really excite me. Anything available in the Guelph-Kitchener region. Putting a WANTED ad up on Kijiji very shortly.
