The Ad is still up...did you buy it?

Is this a great acoustic? I haven't been impressed with any of the El Degas acoustics I've played.

Please advise as I could buy this tonight if recommended.

Thanks,

In my opinion, you never know on a 40-year old instrument until you play it.
I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.

El Degas stable as of 03/2022: 42  (13 bass, 26 electric, 3 acoustic)

On the plus side, a 40 year old guitar which has been played well and maintained properly, should sound very "mature" as the wood opens up and vibrates to its max. The MIJ builds tend to be made of top quality woods, and should deliver a good sound. MIK's can be hit and miss.

I messaged the guy. He says it was given to him as a gift a long time ago. He never learned to play guitar so its been just sitting around. Probably in its case with no humidifier for sure.

I don't think he has any idea what it is worth and just put it on Kijiji. II am going to wait for a bit. If it doesn't sell, I'll offer him $100 take it or leave it.

$350 is likely too high, but I wouldn't wait too long if I were you. It is a good guitar, assuming nothing drastic has happened to it, and will probably go soon.
