HI all,

Just picked up an EL Degas acoustic for cheap. Great sounding guitar. Model number is faded but it looks like MP 103 (could be MF). Made in Korea. No serial number. Does this model number ring a bell with anyone? Just looking for info on it and could not find anything on the web.

I think the model number probably starts with "MT".
Do you have any pics of the guitar?

I think you could be right. If I squint hard I think I can make it a T and not a P depending on the font used. Someone replaced the keys incorrectly but she plays very nice so I am not messing with it. Thanks for your interest!

The MT models are copies of Martin acoustics.

Not knowing much about Martin acoustics, I've not pinned down whether the model numbers correspond to being copies of specific Martin models.

There was no serial numbering system as such for El Degas, they sort of tried half-assedly in the beginning but it seemed to have quickly disappeared even in the earlier MIJ (Made in Japan) models.
