tone nob problems!!
i bought this new el degas and the tune nobs are a little off and i was wondering how to remove them
Re: tone nob problems!!
You should be able to just pull them off, unless they have a set-screw (which you would see somewhere on the side of the knob.
If it is particularly tough to pull off, I sometimes wind a little bit of string under the knob so I can get a little better leverage to pull off the knob, without running the risk of breaking something.

I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.

You might have some success using a small spoon to gently pry them off if there's room under the edge. Go slowly, and continuously rotate the knob as you go, just a little bit of lift at a time. And be sure you place something like a business card under the spoon so as not to damage the guitar finish.
