Hi I just was looking at an ad for a clear lucite Strat type Degas guitar that looks in very good condition asking $600.
Any ideas about this item, as far as origin/year. As a retro item it looks great but $600 is a lot for me.
Thanks for any info

I think I've seen that ad – if it's the one I am thinking of, it's likely a MIJ from the 70s, but $600 is indeed a lot of money for a Strat copy. It's the lucite aspect that makes it priced that way.
I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.

El Degas stable as of 03/2022: 42  (13 bass, 26 electric, 3 acoustic)

Thanks for that. As it is in very good shape I may go play it if he is open to a lower offer
