El Degas Les Paul

Post by thornbush »

Got this one last year from an older fella, he had to be at least 80....and man could he play it...he got it second hand about 1980 and said the only reason he was selling it to me was becuase i loved the brand...I offered him $250 and he said "sonny, 75 bucks is all you gotta give me...that's what I paid for it". After playing it for a while I found that my 2010 Gibson Studio didn't hold a candle to it, so I sold the Gibson.......This guitar has balls....and a couple of dings for character. Ten lbs of pure pleasure.

Hope you're not getting sick of me yet...cause I have 4 more to come....but not tonight. Takes a while to get them from the phone cam to the site.

Don't stop! These are great threads. Great story.
I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.

El Degas stable as of 03/2022: 42  (13 bass, 26 electric, 3 acoustic)
