Interesting one. You don't see a lot of natural Precision bass EDs out there.


My eyes are not that great but this natural bass does not look like it had a switch or am I not seeing it ?

Pickups: I would wonder whether those are Dimarzios, unless you replaced/painted the covers - it seems they were putting the ones with cream covers on back then because those immediately stood out as being "upgraded" pups. I could be wrong.

Im not knocking them down, I love these ! Especially this model of the P-Bass. Since its late 70s or early 80s, they were smart to make them a little different after the lawsuit talks in 75-76...

All my Univox basses are direct replacements for pickguards...

I tried to find pictures of pulled pickguard to see the wiring color to compare but none available.

I know that I have another beat up ED P-Bass in red or even white... I dont remember... I dont know where it is right now. lol

Hoping my other ones pickguard is the same so that I can trace a new ...

Saw this posted locally and thought it was weird. Its one of the later P-Bass model that came with the abalone logo , with Dimarzio pups but this one does not have the mini switch on it ! Mind you the pickguard is a replacement ... Dont know if these are the Dimarzios and to tell the truth, never ...

The Paul is very nice and I still think that its a Matsumoku made guitar. I am still looking to get a Vantage version of this guitar to fully compare but the Vantage have drastically went up in prices...

My pick up hasnt moved since I placed it in the sweet spot.

The set neck is very nice, wish I had the neckthru to compare it ... lucky bugger you...
