Re: For sale ES-345 copy

Tnx charles. I picked it up for $40. Figure 'what the heck'.
Even if I destroy it, the parts could be used for some other
projects.

Re: Is This An Authentic El Degas?

From my understanding (I could be wrong) 'steel reinforced' is a squarish 'rod'
that is non-adjustable that stabilizes the neck, as apposed to a (adjustable)
truss rod. I have a '66 harmony 'rocket' labeled as such and it has no truss rod.
This is where I made my assumption.

I'm in the process of restoring a 345 as well ..
with the same problem (neck pocket).
If you'd like to see my solution, click on the link.

Re: Is This An Authentic El Degas?

That is a beaut. The offset holes suggest 'ping' tuners.
Here's mine. It's a project I recently picked up.

And a shot of the variatone.

Newbie here

G'day eh?! New to this forum and like many of you, I joined to find out
what I can about my El Degas Classical. It's a CL-47 made in Japan.
SN 4090418. Someone wants to make a trade and I would like to place
some sort of value on this. Any help will be appreciated.
