ES345 copy on the Bay

Post by elDave »

Nice but very pricey

Interestingly the seller states the p'ups are Maxon. That would indicate a Fujigen build, no ?

I wonder how the seller ID'ed the pickups as Maxon? I admit I have no idea what markings would indicate that - I've never seen pickups in an ED that were confirmed as Maxon, would be interesting what the indications are.
I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.

El Degas stable as of 03/2022: 42  (13 bass, 26 electric, 3 acoustic)

Wish it were that simple. Maxon also wound pups for, you guessed it, Matsumoku! But in the very late 70's to late 80's they were prefixed with "MMK".
