When I bought the humbucker I forgot to order the pot so IO just picked one up locally at Steve's music. It was a 500K WD same as this one here

From GFS it was $8.95 US and I think I paid $14.95 CND at Steves - didn't matter really , I wanted it NOW so I paid whatever

It's all part of "fixing up" which is what most of us are all about with a lot of these older Japanese instruments.
You never know what you're capable of until you try. I'm lucky (?) in that I have collected 21 guitars, most of which are 25+ years old. But that means, de facto, that I have had to do a lot of stuff I have never done before in all my years of playing. I never thought I'd be drop filling, straightening necks, soldering, replacing components, and completely refinishing guitars...but I am! You just need to take a deep breath, take your time, and you end up with a beautiful job like yours!
