Trying to find a year

Recently picked up a degas mt9stbe. All I know about it is it's Korean made and bought in the 70s or 80s in Ottawa from a long closed store (cant remember the name). Can anyone give me a little more????

Very little concrete information exists of the brand and the serial numbering system was abandoned completely, so giving specific manufacturing dates is basically impossible.
It is believed the MIK (Made in Korea) are from the 80s and later.
MT- models are copies of Martin acoustics.
