El Degas GB-23

Post by ElDegasGB23 »

I recently got my guitar out for the purpose of perhaps selling it. I have rarely played it and now at my age not likely to spend time getting to be a de cent guitar player. I have a El Degas GB-23, serial number 40200101. It is in like new condition. It has a case that it has spent all its life in. I received it as a gift from my dad in 1974. any suggestions as to what this guitar might be valued at?

It can be tough to give advice on value of these guitars, since after 50 years the condition can vary pretty widely, and it all depends on what your local market will bear for pricing. Something to keep in mind is the El Degas name is not hugely known or in demand like some other Japanese manufactured guitars of the era.

Do you have any photos? Host them on a site like imgur or photobucket and use IMG post codes to post them on the forum.(There is a post to explain this here: https://www.eldegas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=49)
I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.

El Degas stable as of 03/2022: 42  (13 bass, 26 electric, 3 acoustic)
