hey all im jeff from canada been a lover off El Degas instruments from day one. I own 2 El Degas a Telecaster Thinline and a 5 string banjo, I purchased the tele for $ 200 in 1993 and its been my main guitar since the frets are wore but she is still reliable i think this was the series with the inlaid name i havent seen many ED telecasters if anyone in the group knows of any let me know. On to the Banjo i bought it from a 93 year old reverend for 200 aswell that played it in church it is an amazing banjo it has all the features you look for in a 5 string this is the 2nd ED banjo i have seen my buddy had one that was heavily inlaid to copy a Gibson Mastertone and the qaulity of the work is amazing and he has a 1947 Gibson mastertone and he would put it up against the gibson all i know is that El Degas are still kinda unkown and i like that and they were well made

Love that tele - I have one just like it.

There are some great El Degas guitars and some real dogs... I've been lucky enough to have come across both kinds and come out the other end with some good'uns. Glad to see you have some good'uns of your own. :D
