And now for the Strat

I picked up this Strat copy about a month ago. I still can't decide whether I like it or not. It plays nicely, but there's something odd about it. I just can't put my finger on it. I am going to do a bit more tinkering with it to see if I can get it to where I want. It's a made in Japan model, but it does not have the bullet truss rod. I have the truss rod cover, but it is currently not installed. Everything seems to be original right down to the three-way switch. I think it is made of plywood, but I'm not sure, so I took a close up. Let me know what you think.
