I saw this ad today and it looks like a hell of a deal. Let me know what you think? I recall you have a few of these.

First of all the seller is using an old picture of MY GUITAR! Must have a talk with him!

IF it turns out to be in any where near as good condition as mine buy it.
This is an absolutely awesome guitar for ridiculous money.

They have posted new photos, I'd say late '90's cell phone quality. It doesnt look nearly as nice as yours and it only has the one coil tap switch and I think the truss rod cover says Thunder 1 - not 1 A. Did you get a reply to your email? I saw a Hagstrom picture I had on the net used in an ad once. Didnt really mind except most of my basement was showing.

Hey Barry,
While we're pickin your brain

there's a Quest Atak 1 that's been hanging in a local pawn shop for a few months now. Are the all black ones Mats made or if it does'nt say "by Vantage" does that mean it's Korean ? Neat little guitar for $80.00

Quest was made by Matsumoku, sometimes using the "by Vantage" on the headstock, but not often. The Atak 1's came in Red and black and also had a tremolo bridge version. Good little guitars for the $$$ if you liek the odd shape.
There is a little weakness in the input jack though which was mounted to the plastic pick guard; prone to breaking. (The electronics are mounted like a Strat.
Grab it if you like it.

Just checked. The ad is down. Either sold or they're re-grouping.

Quick followup on the Thunder ad...the seller did reply to me with an apology and replaced my picture with his own. He asked about the guitar's worth (of course

) and I gave him some info and the approx value. He then notified me that he sold it very quickly to someone for $250 which was in the middle of the range I gave him. Very polite fellow, and happy to get $100 more than he originally asked for.
Nice to know they're not all a-holes out there.
