Gold Top Les Paul
Re: Gold Top Les Paul
Nice score! Gotta love those gold tops.
I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.
El Degas stable as of 03/2022: 42 (13 bass, 26 electric, 3 acoustic)

Hi folks
I shall endeavor to get some more pictures up here, though I am still in the dark ages with a 35mm and running to get film developed. One of these days I will have to get me a digital camera. It`s neat how different lighting environments changes the appearance of these gold-tops. It was dark when delivered last night and seeing her in the morning light was a different trip. Plays super nice. Bolt-on neck...I can live with that. No indication regarding country of origin? I like to think it`s Made in Japan?
My first guitar was a very low quality Mann Les Paul copy I bought in `79 or `80. Then came my El Degas Stratocaster, white with a hardshell case for $300 new I think? It was a real nice guitar during my formative years. I shall dig up some old photos and post sometime soon.
Nice to discover your El Degas site Charles !!
