what kind of El Dégas is this ?

hi guys !

so this is the first electric guitar i have ever played with, it belonged to my father and i guess this guitar is at least 30 years old. i would like to have more info on this guitar like the model, year, price range etc. ! so here are some pictures i've taken. thank you in advance !

BEAUTY. :D

That's an ES-335 copy with trapeze tailpiece, made in Japan most likely in the 1970's. It has Dimarzio Super Distortion pickups; which came standard, but I think are too hot for this model of guitar. My set neck ES-335 copy (just like yours, but in Tobacco burst) is set up the same way.

Price on that one is tough as you do not come across the set neck ES-335 copies too often. I would personally pay $300-600 depending on condition but you could probably get more in the right circumstances. I can't remember what I paid for mine.

Oh yessss! That's a beauty alright!
A really nice build of excellent quality materials by the look of her.

I agree with Charles about the pickups, which I see still have the plastic covers on them! :mrgreen:
This style of guitar generally performs better with pups in the 8 KΩ range. These DiMarzios are probably close to nearly double that--too hot.
