El Degas Bass, N E 1 know?
I found this El Degas Bass A few years ago. Can Anyone tell me anything about it's age or anything else?

That's a copy of a Fender '51 Precision.
Probably made in Japan in the mid 70's.
I have one just like it. If yours is like mine, it feels like it might be chambered or hollow, the body is so light. If you look closely at the edge of the guitar you might be able to discern the body plys - this uses a "pancake body", adding to my assumption that it's a chambered body.
Funny how no-one ever seems to have kept the pickup cover. I bought a new one for mine.
Looks like your pickguard could use a spot-cleaning

I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.
