Searching for a bass

Post by killfer8 »

Hi, im new to the forum and kind of new to the bass thing. cant get the handle of the 2 fingers so i play it with pick or thumb ( sorry for my band english). Anyways i dont use an El Degas, i use a Dean Zone XM II, has 2 pickups, i found a very alike picture but its not the same, real close though

I was searching for a close copy of it or a copy of Paul McCartney's Hofner... and the price, thanks

El Degas does a reasonable facsimile of the Hofner bass... don't see them around too often but they are usually very well priced when you do.

Not sure if you'll find anything too close to that Dean, though - you might have to look for something you can modify to route and add the EMG's...
I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.

El Degas stable as of 03/2022: 42  (13 bass, 26 electric, 3 acoustic)
