ED Modelo GL32

Post by Commy »

Hello Friends,

My cousin has a beautiful ED acoustic that his father purchased for him as he was performing in the Kiwanis Music Festival in 1976. He was eleven.

It's a Gibson copy; Modelo GL32; beautiful sunburst with a red back. It looks similar to some of the Hummingbird and Dove copies I've seen on this site.

I've asked him to take a few snaps of it and to possibly post them here.

If anybody has any information pertaining to the guitar, any feedback would be much appreciated.

My post was misleading. It doesn't have the Hummingbird or Dove pick guard. The overall design of the guitar is similar to the Hummingbird and Dove designs; i.e. shape, colours, etc.

GL's are usually Guild copies.

Is it a GL or a GB?
I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.

El Degas stable as of 03/2022: 42  (13 bass, 26 electric, 3 acoustic)
