Hofner Style Bass Guitar (CAN)

Post by Barry »

Unfortunately no pictures, but if you like the Paul McCartney "Beatle bass" this could be a nice one.

I just bought that bass!! I got it for $85 too. Its been abused but with some effort it will play nicely. Are any original Hofner parts able to be fitted to an El Degas?

Regards

Genuine parts do not always fit the Asian copies. You might be able to make some of them fit or put them on in a way that hides the fact that they don't quite fit... best of luck, let us know how it goes!
I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.

El Degas stable as of 03/2022: 42  (13 bass, 26 electric, 3 acoustic)

No guarantees where ED instruments are concerned, but you might get lucky since both the original Hofner and the ED copy are likely metric.
