El Degas Guitar.jpg
About six years ago I bought my El Degas classical guitar at an antique mall for $65.00 with case. It sat in the closet until this year because it wouldn't play at the first 3 frets. I took it to my local music store recently and they said the neck had a twist in it so they heat clamped it for 2 weeks and straightened it. They also discovered that the main brace under the top was loose so they re-glued it. Now it is my favorite guitar. I have been playing professionally for 45 years and have had many guitars along the way. This is by far the best. It fingers beautifully and has the richest fullest bass I have ever heard in a classical guitar. It is gorgeous to look at and a joy to play. I once had a Martin D-35 dreadnought and this even beats that for depth and tone. It is model #C120 Serie #2734. In the late sixties I had a Marco Polo Classical guitar that was equally as good but got traded in along the way which I always regretted. Now I have a guitar that looks just like it and brings back memories. The Japanese really made some wonderful instruments. i would love to know when this one was made.Kevin
