Good evening, or morning I guess. I have a el degas classical model cl242 and I cant seem to find out how old it is. I was wondering if anyone here can help out. It's not a money thing it just sounds and plays great and I was just wondering how old it is. Ohh ya it was made in Romania if that helps any... Thanks

A Romanian CL- model is from the later era, most likely from the 80's. Let's see some photos! 
I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.
