Yeah, either way you're doing fine!
I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.

El Degas stable as of 03/2022: 42  (13 bass, 26 electric, 3 acoustic)

Just got an email and the guy backed out. God damn it. Now I get to spend forever looking for another one.

Man, I'm sorry to hear that.
I hate dealing with flaky sellers.

Cr@p! That sucks bigtime!
Really sorry to hear that and I feel your pain.
It's hard enough to find a good El Degas of any kind at a good price these days, but something as rare as this is just hard to take.

Wow - I bought mine from a pawn shop back in July 3rd, 2000...cost $200 bones and she sounds JUST like my old 1993 4003! The neck has been sanded and re-oiled (eeew?) from playing. Need some Bartolini's and some custom paint and she'll be sweet (er?) Love this bass and didn't have to re-mortgage for her. Nice to see the same loove in another PhireGlo!!!!!

Always nice to hear from a fellow 4000 copy owner!

You should make a new thread and post many pictures for us all to pour over...
