I've had this mandolin (Model 225N) since 2001 or so, given to me in the UK by a friend who I think got it in Canada. Very nice instrument.
The P-Bass I bought new in Chilliwack BC in about 1984. It originally had brass hardware. Around the same time I bought a new matching Lake Placid Blue ED Strat copy, which unfortunately was stolen in Vancouver around 1988. Both excellent. The bass has seen a lot of use over the years
A friend down the street now has three ED guitars -- matching guitar and bass (of the clear finish/laminated stripe through body type) and a black Les Paul he bought for his son. All very nice as well.

Thanks for sharing! Love that Lake Placid blue.
I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.

I just came across an old Polaroid photo of myself playing that bass not long after I bought it.Barry wrote:Welcome yks...yeah I like that shade of blue too.
