That mint color is so perfect.
I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.

El Degas stable as of 03/2022: 42  (13 bass, 26 electric, 3 acoustic)

That's a Herculean job on the resto!
When I first saw it, I was about ask if it was a 335 or 330 clone. (The 345 had a varitone circuit)
The answer is--both!

She started out as a 330 clone (100% hollow interior) then that mahogany log was inserted which changed her into a 335 (with a centre tone block). Probably what saved her too. I assume from the inclusion of the photo of the Gretsch 75th Anniversary model that it was the inspiration for the new finish? That's one of my favourite Gretsch's. Good choice.

What can you tell me about the pickups Sean? Any ID markings? Do you have any readings on them yet?
And the really big question...when are you bringing it into the shop for drooling purposes?

The pickups are wonderful however they are slightly microphonic. I have already ordered some custom ones from Kerry learned of thegearpage.net fame. Crazy great pickups for unusually low price. $185 HBs. $99 Strat sets. He's also going to age the covers for me. I'll be by soon.

Why don't you just pot them?
