I picked up this poor old MIJ P bass from my brother in law.He bought it in 1977 for around $550 Canadian.
It's been in storage in various locations in his father's house since the early 80's (in the original case) and is in pretty ordinary shape.
Hopefully I'll be able to do something with it to bring it back closer to it's former glory.

I split this off into a new topic.
Good luck on fixing up the bass - let us know how it goes!

I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.

Re: El Degas P-Bass
Finally got it cleaned up, neck adjusted as far as I dare via the truss rod (still a bit of bow in it), a couple of knobs, new saddles, bridge cover and new strings. Can't get the action much lower without buzzing all over.
Plays ok ( for my standards !) and sounds good.
