my sweet strat
Hey guys I'm a big fan off el degas guitars and I've been coming to site for a few yEars now and ive finaly decided to share my story, with pics! Ive always been a big fAn of el degas guitars I got my first guitar when I wa 12 at a local pawn shop and it was an el degas strat.i fell in love with it,I played every day for hours on end, and some years later when I was about 18 and my musician ship evolved, I decided to try in find info on it.I came across this site and was blown away by the time and effort put into it, now years later a hundreds off post past, people are sharing there story's,there are some truly beautiful and unique guitars out there and I'm happy to see the community grow, anysways here's an el degas strat, completely vintage except for the b string tuning peg, the strap buttons, and an added srping in the trem block.it came with the original case and whammy bar but sadly I lost the bar years ago, eventually I tried to replace it but I striped to trem block, and thus no whammy.it was my firt and favorite guitar the quality and playability truly show, it was made in Japan and has a three way toggle switch.its been beat up even before it came into my possession but I don't mind much, it adds character to it.i eventually added lstrap locks and removed the back trem plate for added resonance. That's about it I believe the pickups are Demario though I've never removed them from the covers ,next time I do a string change and setup I will check, if anyone has any info or a similar story Ide love to hear them.thanks and cheers

Thanks for sharing!
Definitely looks like you have Dimarzios in that Strat.

I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.
