That is lovely! :D

Congrats!
I started ElDegas.com many years ago to help celebrate and inform about El Degas instruments. It all started with a used Ric 4000 bass copy I bought in circa 2000.

El Degas stable as of 03/2022: 42  (13 bass, 26 electric, 3 acoustic)

My ES-175 copy is buried in a sea of guitar cases while I finish the new music room. Once I get it out of its hiding spot I'll have to take some photos and we can compare them.

It's always a crap shoot trying to trace the lineage of this brand, this might easily have been made at Matsumoku too. They turned out some spectacular jazz boxes for Aria.
What a beautiful instrument!
