My ElDegas strat

Post by G-Mac »

hey charles, i came across this site about half a year ago and i am glad u started it.I find there is only a select few who know of "El Degas", and it looks like there all here.Mine is a late 70's eraly 80's strat and it is in mint condition. It has a bolt on neck, 3 way selector switch and it's in classic tobaco sunburst finish.I bought it at my local pawn shop when i was 12 for 125$ it came with an amp, strap, and cord.I am now 20 and the sound has just gotten better and better over the years, it is my most prized guitar. i was just wondering if youve come across one off these yet, or if you had any info. i'm gonna try and upload some pics soon but once again thanks for starting this site and i'll try to get some pics

I took some pics yesterday , just waiting for my buddy to send me them when he does i will post them.On closer exsamination i remeberd one of the tunning heads broke and needed to be replaced, also i had to file down and glue the nut in place. There is a little chunck missing near the top of the body, wich i coverd up with a "sailor jerrys pin-up girl", wich later became the theme of the guitar to add more character to it. 8) Also there are some miner scratches on the pickgaurd and i took off all the knobs, the body is alder, and the neck is mahogony, and it was made in Japan.Hopefully i will get the pics soon so you can see it.

p.s. i was on kijiji for windsor, ON and i came across an "El Degas" banjo, just thought I'de mention that :D
